Joseph L. Roche has organized, structured, managed, and implemented over 450 distinct planning, marketing and sales campaigns for a variety of products and services in the private and public sectors over the past 29 years. KeyBank, The Marriott Corporation, Benchmark Assisted Living, National Healthcorp, Genesis, Dean Witter Reynolds, The New England Group, UNUM, Integrated Health Services, AdvantageHEALTH Management Corporation, Keystone Senior, Life Care Centers of America, People’s Bank, Pyramid Corporation, Vencor/Kindred Healthcare, The Council of Jewish Elderly, The Sisters of Providence, Lutheran Services, The United Methodists, Brightview, NewSeasons Assisted Living Communities, Balanced Care, Berkshire Healthcare Systems and scores of financial service organizations, developers, insurance agencies, health care facilities and retirement housing entities have secured his services to help them define, present, overcome objections and sell their products, programs and services. During these business engagements, Mr. Roche has trained over 25,000 individuals in various aspects of marketing and selling, created hundreds of distinct direct mail communications, overseen the fulfillment of approximately 1,600,000 direct mail pieces, and supervised over 1,075,000 telemarketing calls.
Mr. Roche also has gained recognition for his professional and community endeavors having been selected to appear in “Who’s Who In Health Care Communications,” “Who’s Who In American Politics,” and “Who’s Who In Business & Executives.” He has been chosen on numerous occasions to deliver presentations on marketing, market research and sales before such professional groups as: American Public Health Association, American Health Care Association, National Association of Senior Living Industries Executives, Assisted Living Federation of America, American Association of Homes & Services For The Aging, New England Hospital Assembly and numerous state health care and senior living community trade associations.
Since starting The Roche Associates in 1981, Mr. Roche has managed and participated in over 500 consulting engagements ranging from feasibility analysis, to due diligence endeavors, to Certificate of Need preparation, to strategic plan development, to community organization and public relations, to marketing, to market research and management consultation. These engagements have involved the planning, development, marketing, acquisition or sale of over $2.6 billion worth of senior living facility products and services.
Mr. Roche was selected by The Business Network to be its national
expert on marketing of retirement housing, assisted living and long-term
care facilities. The Business Network as a national leader in
educational programs and products for the senior living and health care
industries and addressed over 30,000 senior living and health care professionals,
managers and key personnel at its annual seminars. Also, AIC Conferences
International and Modern Health Care asked Joseph Roche to be their expert
on marketing of assisted living and retirement community facilities nationwide,
as demonstrated by their selection of him for three consecutive years
to be the primary speaker on marketing and sales topics at numerous national
conferences including their Annual Senior Housing Summit. In
addition, Joseph Roche was one of only two speakers from the United States
chosen by AIC Conferences International to speak at its international
conference in Sydney, Australia on “Aged Care Solutions for the New Millennium.”
In 2001, Mr. Roche served as adjunct marketing faculty for The
Johns Hopkins University/NIC Executive Development Program in Senior Housing
and Care.
Mr. Roche, who was recognized in 2002 by The Wall Street Journal for his company’s direct marketing leadership in the Senior Living Industry, also serves as the Assisted Living Federation of America’s marketing expert consultant to the news media.
Mr. Roche is a graduate of Dayton University and holds a Masters Degree in Community Organization and Planning from the University of Illinois.
